What is an Annual General Meeting (AGM)?
An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a meeting of all the members of an incorporated association. The AGM must be held after the end of the financial year so that the financial statements can be presented to members. It must take place within 5 months of the end of the association’s financial year.
The main purpose of the AGM is for the members to approve the audited financials and elect the board of management (management committee).
How Can I Be Involved with the AGM?
To vote at the AGM you must be a finanical member. To become a financial member, you must fill out the MEMBERSHIP FORM and then apply to become a financial member by completing the APPLICATION FORM and paying the annual membership fee of $2 by the close of business Wednesday 28th February 2024.
Under the Associations Act and our current constitution, we must have a certain amount of members with voting rights attend the AGM (to achieve a quorum). Autism NT welcomes all community members to join our organisation and help us continue to support autistic individuals and their families.

Important Information and documents for the AGM?
You must be a financial member of Autism Northern Territory Inc. to vote at the AGM.
If you are a voting member but are unable to attend you have the right to submit a “proxy form” that permits your choosen financial member of Autism NT to vote on your behalf. If this is something you would like to do please complete and submit the PROXY FORM by the close of business Wednesday 28th February 2024.
If you would like to be a part of our Management Committee you will need to complete a NOMINATION FORM. Get in touch with the Autism NT office if you would like to be involved.
